Greta von Gebsattel is a stunning 8-9 month old black and red German Shepherd. Her story seems to be a bit riches-to-rags, since she has all the refined, well-bred features of an expensive puppy from a breeder and yet somehow ended up living in a homeless encampment. She is a magnificent dog of medium size and an outgoing and friendly personality. Greta does well on a leash, excited and happy to go on a walk. Her curiosity will cause her to pull, but she is also highly responsive and easy to remind she needs to stay with the program. She is a little too enthusiastic at first when meeting other dogs, but she soon settles down and walks perfectly as part of the pack. Off leash in the play yard, she is excited to explore everything;  she runs around with a big, goofy smile and meets every other dog warmly. (She's a no for cats and still a bit puppy mouthy, so not for very young children.) She is young and eager to meet any challenge set to her. She loves to chase tennis balls (has not yet learned to catch them though). She adores being petted all over and will show her appreciation with a lot of kisses. She will do well in an active home that can match her athleticism and her sense of adventure.
